Without a hotel to service the needs of First Southern Bancorp www.fsnb.net and its affiliates, our
house became a bed and breakfast of sorts. As the company grew, so did our need for more ways
to provide for the business associates, guests, and ministry partners that came our way. In 2004,
we decided to marry two of our passions by preserving a large old house in downtown Stanford and
using it as a guest house. We named it the Bishop House after the family who owned the property the
longest. We themed the rooms after places we loved. It became so popular, we decided to renovate
four more historic houses on Mill Street and open the guest houses to the public for nightly stay.
By naming the four Mill Street houses after pioneers who settled our area, we combined a love of Kentucky history with preservation and hospitality.
We hope you enjoy your stay in our quaint town, refreshed and renewed for the journey.
